The Lady Toppers (15-6, 4-2 Sun Belt Conference) defeated Denver in three sets (25-16, 25-11, 25-21) tonight to keep their undefeated home record intact.

Home has been sweet for the Lady Toppers (14-6, 3-2 Sun Belt Conference) so far this season. Western improved to 6-0 at home after beating Arkansas Little-Rock and Arkansas State this weekend.
Western began the weekend by defeating UALR on Friday (25-19, 25-15, 15-17). Western was solid on both sides of the net, compiling a .340 hitting percentage and holding the Trojans to a .094 percentage.
Arkansas State gave Western a little more trouble on Saturday, but the Lady Toppers still came out with a 3-1 victory (25-20, 25-19, 24-26, 25-22). Western was led by sophomore setter Lauren Stuckel, who had 52 assists, and freshman libero Sarah Rogers, who had a season-high 21 digs.
But sophomore middle hitter Tiffany Elmore proved to be the star of the weekend, totaling 22 kills over the two games with hitting percentages above .630 in both.
Western continues a five-game home stand on Friday, facing Denver at 7 p.m.
The Lady Toppers notched their first Sun Belt Conference win of the season by sweeping Florida Atlantic this afternoon (25-20, 25-17, 25-14).
Western (12-6, 1-2 Sun Belt) was led by sophomore setter Lauren Stuckel, who had nine kills and 24 assists, and posted a .282 hitting percentage in the match.
Despite winning a tense first set, Western lost to Florida International 3-1 (26-24, 16-25, 24-26, 13-25) tonight in Miami.
The teams tied six times and combined for 31 kills in the first set, but the Lady Toppers (11-6, 0-2 Sun Belt Conference) were unable to maintain that success. The Lady Panthers (13-2, 3-0 Sun Belt) held Western to a .087 attack percentage in the match.
Junior outside hitter Emily Teegarden led Western with 11 kills, while sophomore setter Lauren Stuckel contributed 38 assists.
But the Lady Toppers committed 24 errors and recorded a .124 hitting percentage, allowing the Lady Panthers to compile a .462 hitting percentage.
