David Elson has landed.
The former Western head coach has officially accepted a job with the Indiana Hoosiers football team, according to IU football SID Jeffrey Keag, as quality control coach on defense.
Keag said Elson’s first day on the job was Monday.
Chief of staff and general counsel Deborah Wilkins said Elson’s new job would not affect his $500,000 buyout from Western, as he accepted a position as something other than a head coach.
Indiana is slated to visit Smith Stadium on Sept. 18, the Toppers’ third game of the season.
