Western 42, North Texas 35 (7:17 third quarter)

Sophomore running back Bobby Rainey fell into the end zone from three yards out to hand Western the outright lead once again. It was Western’s first touchdown of the half and Rainey’s second of the game.

  • The drive put Western at an even 400 yards of total offense — an offense that has converted on 4-of-4 third downs.
  • Senior punter Jeremy Moore, who carries a 43.6-yard average into the game today, has yet to see the field.
