Western’s senior punter Jeremy Moore pinned Louisiana-Lafayette on their own 10-yard line to end the second quarter with the Ragin’ Cajuns up 20-14.
- The final scoring drive of the quarter came on a nine-play, 53-yard drive run almost exclusively with sophomore back Bobby Rainey between the tackles. Rainey carried the ball eight times for 42 yards on the drive after tallying only one rush in the first quarter.
- To begin the second quarter, ULL followed up on redshirt freshman Kawaun Jakes’ interception with a 19-yard connection between sophomore quarterback Chris Masson and freshman receiver Javone Lawson.
- On the sequential kick return, Western muffed a short kickoff, the Ragin’ Cajuns recovered and finished the drive with a 25-yard field goal.
