Halftime: Navy 17, WKU 14

-Navy made their first pass play of the afternoon count with 2:26 left in the second quarter, as quarterback Ricky Dobbs found Cory Finnerty for a 29-yard touchdown reception.  The extra point was good, and the Midshipmen take a 17-14 advantage into the locker room.
-The Midshipmen have lived up to their reputation of utilizing the rushing game, gaining 229 yards on 33 carries.
-Western took a 14-10 lead with 5:19 left in the half on a 1-yard rollout run by quarterback Kawaun Jakes.  The Toppers began the drive after recovering a Navy fumble at the Midshipmen’s 47-yard line.
-Jakes has been near-perfect in his first career start, completing 11 of 12 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown in the first half.  The freshman also has 28 rushing yards on seven carries with a score.
-Western first got on the scoreboard with a 13-yard screen pass from Jakes to sophomore running back Bobby Rainey with 8:15 left in the first half.  The Hilltoppers went 81 yards in nine plays to bring the score to 10-7.
