Halftime: WKU 35, UNT 38

This game is shaping up to be like the 71-67 WKU win at Diddle, only this time the Toppers don’t have the Diddle crowd to rely on. They got down early and had to crawl their way back. Mendez-Valdez hit Kerusch with an alley-oop and he followed it on the next possession by hitting a foul shot, inching WKU closer. WKU is not getting good rebounding positioning from its forwards, who are getting boxed out under the glass by Odufawa, Stewart and Tramiel. Kerusch continues to carry to offensive load for WKU, being the only player in double figures.

I get a break from the terrible chants of the UNT student section, but I’ll be back with stats ASAP.

Thanks for providing the commentary. I live in Cincinnati and don’t have access to any other “Live” coverage but with your commentary and the Live Stats provided on the SBC website, it’s the next best thing to radio!

ps. The crowd is only 1,000? I think the Tulane game had more attendance.
