More halftime notes

Western is up 33-26, despite shooting 40 percent from the field and 2-8 from three-point land. South Alabama is 0-4 from three-point range and shooting 46 percent overall.

So far, the Toppers are led by Orlando Mendez-Valdez’s 10 points, while the Jaguars are led by DeAndre’ Coleman’s 10 points as well.

A stat to watch in the second half: Free throw shooting. The teams are a combined 5-11 in the first half.

Another notable stat is second-chance points. The Jaguars have capitalized with 12 points off second chances.
